## World’s largest barbecue concept donates $7,500 grant for tactical robot to better protect local first-responders from high-risk situations

NEWARK, Ohio (March 21, 2022) – [The Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) – the charitable arm of [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com/) – is dedicated to being an active member of the communities it serves. 

On Wednesday, March 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Newark Police Headquarters (39 S. Fourth St., Newark, Ohio 43055), The Dickey Foundation will present a grant of $7,500 to help the Newark Police Department obtain a tactical robot that will keep its first responders safe during high-risk situations such as hostage rescues, armed and barricaded subjects, suspicious items and more.

In 2021, more than 70% of the Newark Police Department’s callouts involved a barricade or wanted person. With this new technology, the department will be able to safely communicate with individuals and transport mission-critical equipment.

DALLAS (Feb. 17, 2022) – On Monday, February 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Apple Valley Fire Protection District Station 331 (22400 Headquarters Dr., Apple Valley, CA 92307), the [Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) will present new air cushion and vehicle stabilization kits to the Apple Valley Fire Protection District. 

The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical personal protective equipment (PPE), safety gear and equipment they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer.

Dickey’s Adds Its Texas-Twist to the Walking Taco

Texas-style barbecue restaurant signs development agreement to add five more locations

Dickey’s announced today that the company has signed a multi-unit area development agreement with Prosper Food Corporation. CEO and President John Malinconico led the negotiations for Prosper Food and recently signed the agreement to develop five Dickey’s multi-unit franchise locations over the next seven years. Malinconico is an accomplished entrepreneur with a background as a Commercial Banker/Underwriter. Prosper Food purchased its first existing Dickey’s location back in October in Centereach, N.Y. The company also has plans to develop another four variations of Dickey’s throughout Suffolk County, N.Y.

The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical personal protective equipment (PPE), safety gear and equipment they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer.

The Dickey Foundation Awards Grant to Wortham Police Department

Grants will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to first responders of Florida

DALLAS (Nov. 30, 2021) – The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment and safety gear they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer.

On Tuesday, November 30 at 11:30 a.m. the Dickey Foundation along with local Owner/Operator Wendy Williams will award the Midway Fire Department with 5 sets of bunker gear. This will take place at the Dickey’s Gulf Breeze location (1480 Tiger Park Lane, Shop C, Gulf Breeze, FL).

Additionally, on Wednesday, December 1 at 11:30 a.m. the Dickey Foundation along with local Owner/Operator Sam Zaghariet will award the Panama City Beach Police Department with 7 sets of protective armor for 7 of their female patrol officers. This will take place at the Panama City Beach Police Department (17115 Panama City Beach Pkwy., Panama City Beach, FL).

Grant will provide protective equipment needed to aid in emergencies
 
DALLAS (Nov. 19, 2021) – On Monday, November 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Napa Fire Department Station 2 (1501 Park Ave., Napa, CA), the [Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) will present 13 sets of essential wildland firefighting gear to the Napa Fire Department. 

The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment and safety gear they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer.

The Dickey Foundation Awards Grant to Napa Fire Department 


[Dickey’s Barbecue Pit ](www.dickeys.com) is bringing its Legit. Texas. Barbecue.™ to select locations across North America and Canada through a partnership with Ghost Kitchen Brands. 
 
Dickeys announced today that the Texas-style barbecue brand is teaming up with Toronto based Ghost Kitchen Brands to serve its iconic meats and southern sides through the satellite pickup and delivery service. 
 
Dickey’s joins a stacked lineup of other brands such as Cinnabon, Quizno’s, Nathan’s Famous, Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken and more that are now available to order at the first U.S. Ghost Kitchen counter in a Walmart store in New York state.  Dickey’s will soon be serving in two U.S. locations in November and over 100 locations in the U.S. and existing locations in Canada.

The rapidly growing concept’s expansion plans include opening more locations in Canada with additional U.S. locations including Texas, California, Illinois, Georgia over the coming months and in 2022.
